I don’t know about you, but in everything that I approach in life, I bring it to the Lord in prayer. I wholeheartedly believe that the Lord is capable to do, provide, and create above all that I could ask or think.
So what better way to equip my fleshly self, than with prayer?
I’m not a big fan of repetitious prayers or prayers that are already laid out for you and you just repeat. But I love sharing just a few prayer phrases that you can make your own, building upon them, as you build your relationship with Christ.
Here are 5 Prayer Phrases to Build on for Your Homeschool Life
Lord, help me to be the mom and teacher that you desire me to be.
This is one of the easiest ways that you can invite the Lord into your homeschool. With this simple phrase, you’re saying so many things.
– I’m incapable of doing this on my own
– I know that you’re able to help me
– I’m giving myself to you
It’s so easy, especially with the burden of homeschooling, to feel unappreciated. Encourage yourself in the Lord by inviting Him to work through you.
God, help my kids see your light through me.
Being a homeschool parent is so much more than teaching them academically, but we’re also responsible for teaching them spiritually. Every day, ask the Lord to help you be a light unto your children.
Whether it be in your prayer life, your worship, your acts of service, your kindness, gratitude, or attitude- let them see you actively being a servant of the Lord. And with God’s help, this is possible!
Let your love be more prevalent than our situations.
Sometimes, life can be overwhelming for our children. I feel, as homeschoolers, our kids see a little more of the “behind the scenes” of life because they’re with us all the time. I don’t know about you, but I have little worriers that are always asking questions.
I find myself asking the Lord that my children physically feel His love, despite what is going on in our lives and I know He’s able to meet our needs.
Fill our minds with understanding, let our hearts be good ground to receive, and let it always be brought back to our remembrance.
This is a great way to open your homeschool day, by asking the Lord to help your children to comprehend and retain the information that is being brought before them.
When we’re struggling with a certain subject, or we can’t seem to get something we’re learning to stick, we set it aside and ask the Lord to help us. When we come back to it, it’s always a better experience!
We plead your blood over each of us as we begin this day.
The power of the blood that was shed for us is still powerful! We can claim the blood for healing, deliverance, strength, and protection as we go through each day.
This isn’t just for your homeschool, but this is a method of prayer for everyday life. The enemy is a roaring lion, always seeking to devour. Let the blood of Christ be your covering as you live lives unto Christ.
