I cannot wait to do this daily scripture copywork calendar for the month of May with my son and daughter. Why you may ask? Because they need some lessons on perseverance. That is the calendar theme for the month of May’s daily scripture copywork – perseverance.
We were really strict with our oldest daughter. Since then, I guess I just have gotten older and my husband has become a more chilled out dad. OH! How could I forget that we live near grandparents now who make our children do “ziltch”, which doesn’t necessarily help our cause. Unfortunately, that has resulted in a slight propensity for laziness in our little ones.
I have to knock that right out their system and quick. We have been trying to work with them through it. My daughter never wanted to get into sports because its too hard and my son gets so frustrated if he can’t get something in school. They need to learn to stick it through to the end. To keep going, no matter what.
We are trying to teach them to persevere through the difficult times, through things we often don’t want to do, through really tough decisions and more. I am glad to explore this daily scripture copywork calendar in May with my kids. I am sure I will get some encouragement myself! I could use it.
