My kids are huge Star Wars fans. They have seen every movie and cartoon episode related to the phenomenon. And while I love the movies, characters and stories, I don’t even come close to their knowledge of all things Star Wars. That they get from my husband.
Every year they countdown the months and days until the next movie release. This year they have to wait until December for Episode IX, but that hasn’t dampened their excitement. In fact, we’ve already had one marathon movie weekend this year and I foresee at least several more in our future.
One weekend they always celebrate is around May the 4th – otherwise known as Star Wars Day. If you’re not a fan of the movie, that won’t make sense, but trust me…it’s a big deal. This year it just so happens to fall on a Saturday, which means they can start the movie marathon on Friday night and finish easily by Sunday evening!
May the 4th is quickly approaching, which means now is the time to start planning for your festivities! We have gathered some fun, easy and most of all, delicious Star Wars inspired recipes to help make the day a success. Your kids will love helping you pick out and create these recipes too!
