Don’t you just love watching birds in the springtime? If you love to hear birds chirping and watching them sour by your back yard, then these 20 bird activities for preschoolers will be a hit in your homeschool. We can teach our little ones to enjoy the simple things in life and the beauty of birds is one of them.
I immediately think of particular Bible verses when I think of birds and teaching my kids about them. In Matthew 6:26 – 34 Jesus tells his followers (and us) not to be anxious about food, but to rely on God as the birds, who are worth far less than people, are fully provided for. I love that in watching birds, God reminds us that he has it covered, that He will provide.
In Isaiah 40:31 we learn that we can wait upon for He will renew our strength; we shall mount up with wings as eagles; run and not be weary; and walk, and not faint. How many times do we grow weary in homeschooling, or in life for that matter. Remember that as we do these activities with our children and rejoice in God’s beautiful creation.
