These adorable printable multiplication games are low prep and easy to use. I am teaching my son multiplication right now and it is pretty challenging—for the both of us. Bless his heart he really tries. He still uses his fingers, even when he doesn’t have to. He processes things a little differently and therefore, takes him a little longer to learn some things. One thing that helps him every time is using games for him to practice. He loves playing games. Therefore, I use that to my full advantage in homeschool.
My son is drawn to games, I am sure some of you can relate. Games get him motivated and excited to learn. Learning through games can afford opportunities for kids to deepen their mathematical understanding and reasoning. No matter how much time I spend trying to explain a problem to my son, nothing can enhance his fluency of mathematics like letting him playing games over and over can. It has worked for us with the addition and subtraction of large numbers, I am hoping these games will help with multiplication and division as well.
The free games in this post have different versions to help your kids focus on specific multiplication skills. The first game board only includes facts from 0-5 for beginners, the second game board includes facts from 2-12 for general practice and review, and that last board game includes facts from 6-12 that focus on more challenging facts.
