I remember when I first knew the Lord I had always felt less than “enough” in life. In everything I tried, I always felt as if I wasn’t smart enough or just plain ol’ not good enough. I found it hard to speak up for fear that people will find out how dumb I was.
After reading God’s Word for a time, I came across scripture about His wisdom. I found that wisdom wasn’t what man said it was. It had nothing to do with head knowledge and everything to do with a healthy view of who He was. I learned that as long as we had a healthy fear of Him, we didn’t have to fear anything else.
James 1:5 says that If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
I asked him, and He provided. His wisdom was shown to me in giving me confidence in Him. I may not have known a lot, but I knew Him and He knew me, and that is all I needed.
I think it’s time I revisit Godly wisdom as a reminder of who He is and where I stand in the scheme of relationship with Him and His purpose. Will you join me?
