I love finding fun, hands-on activities that incorporate books that we are reading to enrich our learning in our homeschool. We have really enjoyed learning about seeds and gardening. I think it’s so important to teach our children where our food comes from. This is a great way for them to try new foods as well.
If you have the book The Tiny Seed by Eric Carle, you are going to love this fun activity. It will help your children to better understand food and nutrition, and what seeds create the foods that we love to eat. This would be fun to do with friends or in a co-op class setting as well. You could even make it a fun park day activity and ask everyone to bring their favorite foods that have seeds. Find out details on this fun nature sensory science activity at Teach Beside Me.
