When I was in public school as a youth I did not enjoy geography. It was all about memorizing maps and labeling them, from what I can recall. When I started homeschooling my children, it was interesting to discover they both enjoyed geography very much. When my youngest was only four I used a map of the United States that I purchased from the dollar store to teach her where the 50 states were. She couldn’t read, but she learned the locations with ease. I put a chocolate-dipped sunflower seed on each state and she was allowed to eat it if she could tell me what state it was. I guess when you restrict the amount of sugar a child can have, even a tiny sunflower seed covered in chocolate is enough inspiration to help them memorize what they need to know.

Today I have partnered with With the Huddlestons to bring you a FREE Interactive Geography Curriculum valued at $35.

This was a limited time offer and expired on 2/1/19.
