I will admit, desserts are probably my biggest weakness when it comes to food. I love a good dessert. But I am a little picky about what I like. For instance, I don’t like anything too sweet or not sweet enough. If it tastes the slightest bit bitter, I’m out.
But getting that great marriage of sweetness and savory is tricky. I think my favorite find has been lasagna-type desserts. These desserts mix a semi-sweet, and usually crunchy, crust with layers of creamy goodness. There’s just something about the layers of whipped cream and pudding that perfectly meld together into a wonderful delight in your mouth.
There are quite a few variations on this type of dessert, but these are 20 of my favorite finds. Some blend sweet and sour, while others build complex layers of flavor. But each one gives you a delightful burst of deliciousness in your mouth. Plus…they are fairly easy to make and take to your next family or church gathering!
