Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. Oh sure I love Christmas and Resurrection Day as well, but my family, my mom’s and dad’s, always traded off Thanksgiving holidays. With two uncles in the ministry, it was the one holiday we could count on having multiple days together growing up.
And when my family gets together there is always food – lots and LOTS of food! We have all the traditional foods – turkey, ham, dressing, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes. You name it, we’ve got it. It is also a time when my aunt’s would try out new dessert and salad recipes, which was always fun to sample.
Even though we had nearly 20 people in my immediate family, we still always had a ton of leftovers! And since we were together for several days, we would quickly get tired of the same foods over and over. Eventually we figured out to get a little creative with them, but if you struggle like we did, you’ll love these Thanksgiving Leftover recipes!
