Trying to discipline a child according to God’s Word is not an easy thing to do. This free If/Then Chart uses Scripture and logical consequences to help with disciplining our children the right way. I was at my wit’s end with my kids who fought constantly. It broke my heart to see them annoyed with each other and fighting over everything. I wanted to discipline them, but with godly training not my own. Finally, one day, I was faced with refining fire truth myself about discipline.
I was doing a devotion with my kids about siblings when my daughter said to me, “but you and daddy argue all time, why don’t you guys get along?” It literally wrecked me and forced me to see myself. How was I blinded by my very own sinful nature, and asking them to do what I could not? Now, I take deliberate steps to examine myself against the scriptures. I think this chart is a good way to biblically correct our children, and yes sometimes ourselves, against His Word.
