Parents, undoubtedly, need to be proactive about teaching kids how to stay safe on the Internet. For me it is tricky to talk to my kids about this. I want to tell them, but at times I think I go over board. I am concerned that going overboard may spike their curiosity. I do not want to do that.
I wasn’t surprised to find out that 54 percent of parents worry more about online sexual predation than any other online threat. What I was surprised about was that, only 37 percent of them talk to their kids about it. Its totally accurate to say that if we don’t talk to your kids about online safety, they may get bad information somewhere else. These tips and strategies to kickstart the conversation with them is a great step in the right direction.
