This past summer during our travels in the upper midwest, we were able to briefly visit West Virginia. We didn’t have time to explore, but from what we saw we cannot wait to go back! It is a beautiful state with rich history and some amazing places to visit and explore. Not to mention local and state food favorites that my family is dying to try!
Whether you’ve visited the state, plan to visit or live close enough to explore on a weekend, it is always fun to learn more about the different states. Since we plan to go back one day, I want my kids to learn about the state as well. We have found this a great way to not only learn about the state, but also involve them in our planning of the trips. This gets them so excited and ready to see all the places they dreamed about! Join us as we learn about Virginia with these great resources I have gathered. Each state has a unique history, fun facts and wonderful sites to see, so get exploring!
