The first thing I thought about when viewing this freebie was my son’s slingshot collection of rocks. My friend’s husband made my son a homemade slingshot and she sowed him a case to hold his rocks out of old pant legs. He loves it so much and so, I thought it would be great to connect his love of collecting rocks for his slingshot into an opportunity for using this lesson. If you have a child who is interested in rocks (or dirt for that matter), for whatever reason, make use of this super cool freebie to teach about rocks and minerals.
