No matter how much we feel like we need plastic wrap, it is truly bad for our environment (I use it ALL the time). Where I live they sell ‘turtle shell’ everything. However, when you think of how they got this turtle shell, it becomes quite sad really. The people here can only make turtle shell when turtles have already passed (meaning, turtles aren’t hunted for turtle shell). The sad thing is that they mostly pass often, because of things they have eaten or caught themselves in, in the ocean. The man made things are items like bottles, six-pack plastic casings, and things like that that find their way into the ocean.
Its so super cool that people, with keeping the environment and wild life in mind, take one step towards making things a little better. That is actually all it takes, one person doing one thing better. I love these beeswax wraps, because of this very thing and its a bonus that they are re-usable.
