There is nothing better in cooking, than cooking with herbs you have harvested yourself. If you haven’t grown up with a garden, you probably wouldn’t have even thought it was possible to do this. I grew up in the Bronx, New York. We had no greenery around us, so I knew nothing of growing my own food one day. Now the options to do so are limitless, even in the middle of am industrious city. Herb gardens allow you to grow herbs that are not always readily available in your local grocery store or market. Preserving herbs for future use lets your family enjoy those herbs all year round.
I now live in the South Pacific with a wonderful supply of fruits and vegetables at the local market, but even they get really pricey at times. Herbs are rare here, unless of course, you can grow them yourself. I am very excited for Gardening Steps help in harvesting and preserving your garden herbs.
