I love weaving art history into our history studies as it makes it so easy to explore two subjects at one time. You can study artists and their paintings to go along with whatever time period you are studying in history.
This free printable art history timeline from The Natural Homeschool has a timeline with timeline cards and key cards. You use the key card to match the artist cards with their works of art. You can leave the artist name and the dates attached or you can cut them out to have 4 cards per artist (portrait, artwork, name and dates). This is a great way to actually see where these works of art tie in to a specific history timeline period.
You can grab this free timeline, with all the cards and detailed instructions HERE.
