We love listening to music in our homeschool. I don’t normally do formal music lessons, but we enjoy listening to classical music on a regular basis, and studying different composers from time to time.
Winter time is the perfect time to study Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, specifically Winter. I found these great lesson plans and ideas from Yellow Brick Road. These would be great to incorporate into an afternoon of music listening. There are ideas on listening with videos, timbre and the string family, and ideas on music and movement activities specifically for this piece.
