When I had my first child, I was pretty hard on her. I was a single mom and I just needed help; and so, when she was old enough to help… she did. My best friend, who had no children at the time, said that secretly she would think to herself, “I will never make my children do so much”.
I never knew she felt this way… until she had children of her own. After her second child, she confessed to me that she always thought I required too much of my daughter. However, now that she had children, she totally understood and found herself assigning just as many chores to them.
Assigning chores is just something we have to do to train our children, to show them responsibility, to contribute to the family and just for plain help (our sanity). Make handy these 28- pages of chore planners to help you 2018!
