I am a city girl at heart, but somehow the Lord saw fit for me to live elsewhere. So, now we have chickens, pigs and a couple of cows and its… different. I do have to admit that my children, especially my son, has learned much from helping their dad feed and care for the animals. After reading this post from The Prairie Homestead, I honestly can say that every point is spot on. It has been one of those blessings in disguise that I over looked, as I was too busy feeling sorry for myself. I realize it now, and I wouldn’t trade what they are learning for anything.
