I love writing prompts. My children that love writing love them, because it gives them another creative outlet. They help reluctant writers too because it gives them a fun idea to go off of. I think that the most daunting thing about writing is starting from a blank slate. That’s why writing prompts are so important.
I found this awesome idea from More than a Homeschool Mom that uses a writing prompt story jar in her homeschool. There are details on how to create your very own story jar, as well as free printable writing prompts to place in the jar. This would be great to have your kids work on for some quiet writing time in your homeschool.
