If your family is tight on money, you may think that a vacation is out of the question, but it’s not! I want you to consider camping. Even if you’ve never camped before, you can have a successful break from the ordinary and it will do your family a world of good to connect with nature and the outdoors.
Camping can be a fun and fairly inexpensive way for families to take a vacation, but does this idea also apply to families that have a child with special needs? Absolutely yes! It might take a little extra planning, but it can be done and it can be enjoyable.
Most of the ideas on the list are great ideas for families that have young children whether they have special needs or not, but the ideas become supremely important if they do. Don’t forget that you don’t have to personally buy every item listed. You can borrow some! I’ve even seen friends list a request on Facebook just to borrow different things. Most families will be willing to help you out.
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to make some special memories with your children!
