I don’t know of a family that couldn’t use a little extra cash. Even if your household has a budget and you live within your means, it’s not unusual to encounter a few surprise expenses from time to time. For instance, when we changed churches, my son made friends with a fantastic group of boys. (Such a blessing!) He was invited to birthday party after birthday party. It is so nice to included, but we didn’t have a lot of money to spend on gifts. We didn’t want to send him empty-handed either!
Do you take meals to families or are you ever invited out to meet another couple for coffee? No matter how cheap you try to go, it still takes money!
