Some people have the perception that homeschooling is all jammies, couch time, and field trips. If only. We are busy working our socks off educating our children which as any homeschool mom knows is not the same thing as loving on our children or feeding them dinner. Those require another 200% of energy.
Is it possible to feel a sense of burnout when, from the outside, life looks like fantastic days of unicorn and rainbow happiness? Yes. “Burnout” is a word that almost every homeschool mom is familiar with. Thankfully we’re pretty resilient, but we all run our carts into the ditch from time to time.
