In light of eternity, it doesn’t really matter what you do to celebrate your wedding anniversary. What’s important is that you made it another year together. In today’s culture, that’s cause for some major celebrating! Sometimes that means a swanky night out on the town (or a weekend out of town), and sometimes it means sharing your heart while splitting a cookie and a latte.

In my 22 years of marriage, I’ve had the privilege of both types of celebrations. The inexpensive evening my husband and I sent the kids to grandma’s house so we could have pizza and talk uninterrupted (hello! uninterrupted = priceless!) is just as precious as the times we’ve dressed up and gone out to dine on the riverfront.

I say all that to say, that if you’re on a tight budget this year, pick your chin up, use these 15 ideas to get creative, and find a small way to tell your spouse, “I love you; I choose to love you; and you’re the one for me.” You can also find affordable flowers for parties & events and jazz up your living space.
