As we enter into the Mother’s Day and Father’s Day season, now is a great time to teach our children the Spanish terms for different members of their family.
If you’re not sure exactly how to do that, here are a few suggestions:
Here are a few tips to help you:
- Make it fun! Play games your kids love, but replace English words with Spanish ones. For example, duck, duck, goose, can become Hermana, Hermana, Hermano
- Let them practice! While they are out and about let them practice their new vocabulary. Kids will love trying to stump the cashier with their new Spanish words.
- Use the words in day to day conversations. This is simple to do and reinforces the vocabulary terms they are learning.
- Reinforce the learning with worksheets. Foreign Languages for Kids has a FREE printable pack that will help!
