Sticking to a daily writing habit is a great way to strengthen writing skills, and encourage creativity in even the most reluctant writers.
Writing prompts are a great way to let your teens think out of the box and get some simple, daily writing in place. I love these free writing prompt calendars from Write Shop. This calendar is not dated, so you can use it year after year whenever you need writing inspiration for your middle school or high school students. There are 5 different types of prompts each week: Persuasive, Creative, Argumentative, Expository, and Reflective.
