Sometimes we tend to be perfectionists thinking it’s got to be all or nothing. In this instance, when I say “all” I’m talking about wishing for a November full of beautiful, poignant moments giving thanks with our children as we gaze upon the glorious splendor of God’s creation and expounding His sovereign character (all while we hold hands and skip through the leaves, mind you). Honestly, I can be very guilty of trying to create a perfect backdrop with which to study the Bible with my children.
I realize now that it’s always the right time to share Scripture with them, even if it’s in the car on the way to co-op or while we’re standing at the kitchen counter eating lunch. This 24 Days of Thanks Devotional is perfect because it succinctly lays out five-minute devotionals to share with our children. There can beauty and gratitude even when we have to sneak it in!
