No matter the season, it’s always the right time to be thankful. And yet, I somehow feel that autumn is a very palatable season of thankfulness. I’m thankful for routines, the different angle with which the sun touches my yard, and the beautiful, happy sound that coffee makes as it pours into my mug. Autumn seems to touch the ordinary and make it new.
Honestly though, I feel that way this year.
There are some years that are tough. Life can be hard and just plain exhausting – almost as if it’s going to grind me to dust. The Bible says we are to give thanks in everything, and it gives us gentle reminders in its passages for the days that it’s not easy. I encourage you to print these free, printable Thankful Cards and place them around your home. May they point you in the right direction to always give thanks.
