I stumbled upon this NEW online curriculum and I am very pumped about it. Each course is one semester for your upper grade students, however, I plan to participate in course 200 Religion: Who’s Right? myself as well. This looks like an amazing thing for our children of faith to participate in!
Unshakable is an online, learn-at-your-own-pace curriculum, which includes videos, written articles, and quizzes/exams. Take their Introduction Course for free to see how it works and experience the Unshakable learning platform.
Here are the available courses:
Course 100 – Nature: Created or Evolved?
Were we crafted lovingly by an all-powerful God or generated spontaneously by an indifferent void? The answer makes all the difference in the world! Through this semester, you will discover an abundance of evidence for the belief that God is the ultimate source of the universe and everything in it. *Completion time: 15 to 20 hours.
Course 200 – Religion: Who’s Right?
Why are there so many religions in the world, and how are they different? Why should you be a Christian instead of a Hindu, Buddhist, Muslim, or Mormon? This class will teach you the basics about the world’s most prevalent faith traditions while defending Jesus’s claim to be the only way. *Completion time: 15 to 20 hours.
Course 300 – The Bible: Myth or Fact?
As Christians, we understand the Bible to be the very word of God and the ultimate foundation for our faith. In that case, it had better be a firm foundation! This class approaches the Bible from all sides to provide in-depth answers to fundamental questions: Where did it come from? Has it been changed? Does it have errors? Does it still hold up today? *Availability: Coming Soon
Course 400 – The Bible Applied
Is America a Christian nation? It sure doesn’t act like one. In fact, there seems to be an outright hostility towards traditional Christian values! Is this the way it has to be? This class answers the question of whether we can (and should) apply biblical teachings to controversial issues faced by modern-day society. *Availability: Coming Soon
