For me, making a report card is one of the most daunting parts of homeschooling. Even if you don’t want to assign grades, there are reasons you may still want to create a report card for your student. It can help to motivate your child, and it can be a document that he or she would like to proudly show to others such as grandparents.
Do you realize there is another option to assigning number grades? You could also assign evaluation grades such as “E” for excellent, “S” for satisfactory, and so on. Let this be an encouragement to you as it will help to relieve the pressure you may be feeling to create a report card!
