I can’t take complete credit for this idea, as the first time I heard of a Stuffed Animal Sleepover was at our local Chick-fil-A. I love our Chick-fil-A family nights! They always have some of the most creative family nights planned. This particular family night was for children to come and eat dinner in their pajamas with their favorite stuffed animals. After they are done eating, they were to leave their animals at Chick-fil-A for their very own sleepover. The next morning you would come and pick up their animals and see photos of their adventures overnight!
We were so excited to do this “sleepover” with our kids, when my husband’s truck broke down on the way home from work and we weren’t going to be able to make it in time. My husband had a brilliant idea to replicate this sleepover at home. We told our kids that we were going to have our very own special stuffed animal sleepover party, and since it was at home they could invite more than one of their favorites! They were so excited and when they ran off to get their pajamas and animals we immediately ordered pizza!
I just so happened to have a little Martha Stewart tiny party in a box set that I had gotten on clearance years ago. I had bought it with good intentions, but never did anything with it. They were thrilled when I got it out and they went to town decorating and setting up the table.
Then they read their animals a story before they all went to bed.
Once our girls were asleep, the party finally began! They decided to eat the rest of the pizza…
Then they wanted to sing and play the piano…
They also wanted to play with their favorite blocks…
No slumber party is complete without a game of Spot It!
The sneaky little fox found out that we had baby chicks in our living room.
Crochet Bear couldn’t resist their sweet fluffiness either.
Uh- OH! They found the stash of sugar cereal.
There’s that sneaky fox again…
At least they didn’t try to bake cupcakes!
That was a fun night, now off to sleep…
I hope you enjoyed our adventures! My husband and I had so much fun putting this together while they were asleep!
I can’t believe I forgot to take a picture of my girls when they woke up and saw the mess that was left behind. You should have seen their faces when I showed them these photos. It was truly priceless! You too, can have a fun family night at home with just some favorite toys and a camera!
