One of my biggest regrets in highschool was not taking Home-Ec class. I have always wanted to learn how to sew. When I was pregnant with my third daughter I just knew that I needed to learn. I got a basic sewing machine for Christmas that year and started to teach myself how to sew. What an adventure it has been! I definitely have a love/hate relationship with my sewing machine. There was a lot of trial and error learning how to do everything. The first thing I ever made was burp cloths and baby blankets. I made sooo many of them!
Since then, I have taught myself how to sew basic curtains and clothes using online tutorials. I never had time to leave the house and go to a sewing class at the local craft store, so online tutorials were perfect for me. I even found a tutorial on how to clean my sewing machine and how to adjust the tension when my stitches were all wonky.
