Does your family love nature and being outside? My girls love anything to do with nature! That was one of the reasons I was so drawn to the Charlotte Mason style of education because it incorporates nature study.
You won’t believe all of the cool ideas that I have found! We want to try all of them!
Painting:
Make a Garden Rock Caterpillar with painted rocks from Nellie Bellie.
Painted Pinecone Owls from Twig and Toadstool – darling!
Flower Printing with Paint from the Artful Parent – use liquid water colors and paint with your flowers!
Painting with Nature from Danya Banya – this looks like a lot of fun.
DIY Painted Walking Sticks from the DIY Dreamer – these would be great to take on nature hikes!
Natural Paintbrushes from Learn Create Love – this is a fun activity that takes items from nature to create your own paintbrushes!
Collage:
Make a Leaf Man or Lady from Mrs. Karen’s Class – how fun it would be to make a leaf person collage of your whole family!
Animal Art Collage with leaves from Dr. Lill – I want to make one of these for myself. How creative!
Face the Foliage by The Jungalow – she collected leaves and flowers and natural materials from her yard and nature walks. She made beautiful faces out of them. So cool!
How to Create Leaf Art After an Adventure from Hodge Podge Craft – I really like this idea. What a cute tutorial!
Fall Nature Collage: Invitation to Create from Fantastic Fun and Learning – this is a great hands on/sensory activity.
Miscellaneous fun crafts with nature:
All Natural Leaf Threading from The Mud Kitchen – you can thread leaves to make necklaces, garlands, mobiles and more.
Sun Print Cards from Garden Therapy – these are so beautiful! They would make great gifts.
Make Pebble Pals from Sun Hats and Wellie Boots – I love these! Talk about a nature display!
