I used a rigorous curriculum that LOVED diagramming. And, as much as we hated it, my sisters and I now have SOLID grammar skills. Diagramming is hard and seems pointless, but actually, if you learn how to do it, you will have perfect syntax. I HIGHLY recommend learning diagramming.
