Number tracing and Homeschool must go on!
It’s Monday! Here is the sequel to Easy Alphabet Tracing …
Easy Number Tracing!
This number tracing activity allows you to present one number at a time. Your kids can trace and learn numbers 1 to 24. The different colors help children differentiate one number from the other. With a simple white background and only one number per page, it is much easier to trace numbers! It is possible to laminate pages and trace with a dry erase marker or you can also use them as flash cards.
My kids have been sick all week. Every time they get sick, it reminds me why I homeschool. Anyone that gets sick becomes a little cranky. Don’t we all? I know I do. For my children with autism, it’s a little different.
Cookie becomes unusually calm at first. Then he gets so confused about what is happening to his body that he is in constant meltdowns. Chocolate chip has less meltdowns but when they do happen, they are intense! He also has night terrors. He had so many last night! Which is part of the reason why that is this post is going out late. I don’t really get much sleep on those nights.
The funny thing is that for them, homeschool must go on! Summer or winter, weekday or weekend, rain or shine, tired or energetic, sick or healthy. So between the meltdowns, they expected things to be business as usual!
On those days when they are sick and throughout the summer I do spend time playing with them. I know it is important to their routine. I just don’t have planned activities like during the school year and the tasks are just not as demanding. We just try to have fun and if they learn while doing it, all the better!
I’m not sure how much of their motivation comes from needing to keep their routine and how much comes from them wanting to learn. All I know is that I am so thankful that I am able to help them. Homeschool must go on …
