Joyice and her boys are having fun making “science” experiments and projects with practical, every day living. So far, we have gardened for nature science, prepped meals for cooking science, made cleaning supplies for lab science, and now we’re making homemade laundry detergent for experimental science.
As homeschoolers, they are in constant search of “doubling up” in subjects and life skills. Consider it no surprise when she found a creative way to combine her sons’ love of mixing, pouring, and shaking with some the never-ending, ever-exhausting household chore of laundry!
She created the Homemade Laundry Detergent Experiment for Kids and it struck gold over at Raising Boys Homeschool. The boys were engaged, having fun, adding a bit of science to the mix, and contributing to the household.
What a win-win-win-win!
It’s your turn! See if you can get your kids as excited about making soap as an experiment as Joyice did.
