My 11yo will study Astronomy this year using the Apologia Astronomy set. Instead of using basic notebooking pages, I thought it would be kinda neat to create a science journal for him. This will be a spiral bound journal that will allow him to record everything he does for science, all in one place. It will also serve as a great keepsake and record of his work.
These are the pages I created for him:
- Topic Specific Summary Page
- Portfolio Page
- Scientis Biography Page
- Topic Facts Page
- narration page
- notebooking page
- My Project Summary page
- Science Lab Report Page
- Reasearch Page
- Basic Outline Page
- Timeline & Memory Work notes
I also made 3 different covers to choose from:
How to create your journal:
Each set of pages is intended to cover 1 chapter or 1 topic, so print out several sets, enough to cover the years worth of science lessons. You don’t have to use all of them, only print what you will use. Then take the entire printout to an office supply store, have the cover laminated and all of the pages spiral bound together. They will add a back cover for you.
I have science journal pages available on my website for Biology, Chemistry, Zoology, Anatomy and Earth Science.
I also have Science Notebooking ideas, geography games and tons of free printables on my website.
