This is our sixth and final post in the Eric Carle Book Series! There are so many Eric Carle books. I could have probably done this series for a few months! The books I chose are books that we have personally read and done our own activities with at home. There are many I haven’t read and now I feel inspired to buy more for our library!
I picked up this book on sale and knew nothing about it except that I like Eric Carle and it looked cute. When we opened it to read it we saw that in the front of the book is a clip from a newspaper article about a shipment of rubber bathtub toys that fell off of a ship and were found washed up all over the world! After reading this sweet story I was so fascinated with the fact that this really happened. My daughter immediately asked me to “Google it up Mom”! So we went searching for the true story.
