November doesn’t have to just be a month that’s standing between your kids and their Christmas gifts. In it own right, it can be filled with beautiful, life-giving moments and memories that your children will remember for a lifetime. I love Christmas as much as anyone, but I also really love the gratitude that November inherently brings with it.

It has become a trend to share a daily “I’m thankful for _____” on social media throughout November. I love this idea, but it struck me that I didn’t want to just “say” my gratitude, but instead GIVE thanks. I think that a month filled with incredible, intentional generosity is the perfect precursor to a month filled with worship and praise.

The thing about generosity is that it doesn’t have to be material. It can also include our time, our attention, or our encouragement. So a few years ago, I set out to cultivate a plan that would keep our family focused on GIVING thanks in 4 major ways throughout November. We give our:

  • Attention
  • Service
  • Compassion
  • Gifts

This FREE download includes both a summary of the weekly focus with many ideas for implementing it (with a very generous helping of grace showered in!) plus a 1 page calendar for November with daily focal points to keep the hearts, minds, and bodies in your family focused on giving generously in all ways.

It is truly more blessed to give than to receive!
