You can help your homeschool  know what a narration is and how it works. Narration is the telling of a story; it is great for us to let our kids tell us what has been read in their own words. Charlotte Mason describes narration as an art, like poetry-making or painting, because it is there, in every child’s mind, waiting to be discovered, and is not the result of any process of disciplinary education. Charlotte Mason’s idea was that children would retain more if they did the telling. How beautiful is that thought? I remember discovering my knack for storytelling as an early education teacher. My students loved to try to tell their very own stories to me. It was awesome.
