I love biblical history, how you can weave so much into your study of God’s Word by learning about the people and cultures that are so different than life now. I also love finding hidden gems for homeschoolers, such as this curriculum I want to share with you today.

If you teach your children about the Bible in your homeschool, I promise you; you do NOT want to miss out on this giveaway. I have looked through (and used) several Bible curricula over the years (we have homeschooled for 12+ years). Gospel for Children is one of the most thorough Bible curricula have ever looked over. Not only do you learn about the Bible, but you learn about the time period, the culture, geography, and so much more.

Each lesson has a commentary that you read aloud and then a few comprehension questions. There are maps, charts, activities, copywork, and what I enjoy the most are memory songs that help your children remember what they are learning. My daughter learns to music so well!

They just released Volume 1 in the series:  Old Testament Backgrounds and you can enter to win this complete curriculum below.

Learn about the people and places of the Bible! Gospel for Children, Volume One: Old Testament Backgrounds introduces the geography of Palestine, Egypt, and Mesopotamia.

You will also learn about:

  • 253 locations and landforms
  • 60 kings of ancient civilizations
  • 47 dates and periods
  • Hebrew calendar and seasons of the year
  • biblical weights and measures

Gospel for Children has three components:

  1. Memory songs
  2. Maps and commentary
  3. Daily worksheets

Thirty fun memory songs introduce the weekly information. Maps and the commentary explain the significance of the information one learns. Daily worksheets reinforce and supplement the weekly material, helping children assimilate and process what they learn. Each volume includes worksheets for singers (100-level, 1st-2nd grades), readers (200-level, 3rd-4th grades), and writers (300-level, 5th grade and up), allowing for use with multiple ages simultaneously.

It is easy to use, takes only fifteen minutes each day, and includes everything you need for students from kindergarten through twelfth grade. Perfect for use in homes, Christian schools, and churches. Includes one audio CD with thirty memory songs and one CD-ROM with maps, charts, and commentary for each song as well as daily worksheets for children of all ages.  Everything is BLACK AND WHITE to save on ink (YAY!).
