History was one of the dreaded subjects for me when I was in public school. It was so dry and boring; I always fell asleep in class. When we started homeschooling I was learning history for the first time with my daughter. It was so interesting and engaging – not at all like it was when I was in a classroom memorizing dates and names with no real substance. We used a few different history curriculum resources from grades K-12 that I am now cycling back through with my youngest daughter. You can read about our favorites here.

I have listed all of the different homeschool history curriculum options I can think of below. Our #1 absolute favorite history curriculum is hands-down The Mystery of History though. We are planning on finishing our American history studies this year and then in 5th grade we will dive into The Mystery of History
