If you have a highschooler that is considering college there are a lot of things that you need to start working and preparing towards in order to get them ready.

College-Preparation

When I was in highschool I remember having a guidance counselor that would call me in at certain times of the year to make sure I was on task with the different tests I needed to take and what classes I was taking that would qualify for college acceptance. When you are homeschooling, YOU, the parent are the guidance counselor. My son just graduated from our homeschool last May. I remember when he decided last minute that he wanted to go to our local community college. I felt like we were scrambling to get him prepared for the different college placement tests, and we cut the dates and deadlines so close many times!

If your teen is wanting to go to college, I found a helpful article from Ultimate Homeschool Radio Network that has a checklist of things you will need to do, and deadlines you will need to meet to get your teen ready for college. I wish I had this when we were trying to get my son ready! You will want to check it out HERE.
