We all know how difficult it is to get some children to focus and listen. In this day and age, with so much stimuli around them, it truly isn’t a surprise that they can’t focus well on one thing.
When I really need my son to focus, I literally have to stop what I am doing, go down to eye level with him and touch his face. I look in his eyes and then proceed to tell him what I need him to do, then I ask him to repeat it to me. I also have to be really specific about what I need him to do and it can’t be too long of an instruction. If I don’t do it just like this, I rarely get the result I want. It’s really hard sometimes.
So, I am really glad to share these animal observation activities with you that really help in teaching our children how to focus and listen. The best part is that it gets the children outdoors!
