There is a terrible virus going around. I mean, the worst upper respiratory bug I have ever experienced. We had planned a fun Disney trip with friends and was slated to leave on a Friday. Well, my 16 year old felt the scratchy throat on Wednesday, so I went into overdrive with natural remedy this and natural remedy that. My daughter woke up and in her attempt to do an “honorable” she told use she felt better, when in fact she really didn’t.

You can imagine how it went from bad to worse – and we had to leave Disney early. I am convinced it was the car ride home in close proximity to her little sister that her incessant hacking spread the virus to our youngest. :(

Once we arrived home I made homemade electrolye drinks, bone broth for soup, used garlic oil for their ears, doused them up with oils, made an ACV drink, but it was NOT working for my oldest, and now our 8 year old started to show symptoms.

I took my whining to Facebook in our local homeschool group and asked for ideas I hadn’t tried yet. It had been a few days and the antibiotics were not working. That is when a friend recommended this…and OH.MY. GOODNESS!

oregacillin-30
I woke up every day feeling it trying to get me. My glands were sore, ears hurt, and throat was scratchy. I don’t know about you, but when our little one is sick, she becomes my night-time companion and my husband hits the couch. She is prone to high fevers (105) and we want to keep a good eye on her. You can visualize her hacking in my face, right? It’s no wonder I was feeling it try to take over my body!

Let me tell you friends, Oregacillin is the REAL DEAL. I felt better in a matter of hours. We love, love, love oregano essential oil, but making our own capsules is not fun. My teen started taking it as well and felt better very quickly. Unfortunately, I have not been able to give any to my youngest as I cannot find any dosage guidelines for young children.

Next time we get any type of sickness here, I will throw a carcass in the Instant Pot, diffuse my DIY “Theives”, and start taking Oregacillin right away! For coughs, we like Maty’s for convenience when our natural remedies are not kicking it. It’s as natural as I can find to buy OTC.
