Rhode Island may be the smallest state in size, but it has so much history to share. It is one of the eastern states I am most excited to visit. It’s official name is actually State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantation, but they accept Rhode Island for short. Thank goodness, right?! Regardless if the length of their name rivals the size of their state, I cannot wait until we can travel up that way! I love lighthouses and there are so many amazing and historical ones to see!

Everything you need to teach and/or learn about the great state of Rhode Island. From free printables to must see places to visit, to crafts, activities and more! :: www.homeschoolgiveaways.com

We don’t know when we’ll get to travel up that way, but I sure hope its not too far in the future! But, since we do plan to visit one day, I love learning and reading about the best places to visit. If you’ve never been there, you can join us as we learn about Rhode Island with these great resources I have gathered for you. Each state has a unique history, fun facts and wonderful sites to see, so get exploring! Over the next year, I will be sharing resources – printables, travel destinations and food favorites – from each state.
