Of all the clutter bullies in my home, I have to say that paper clutter is the worst. “Do I really need that little, faceless child figurine that I purchased on a whim eight years ago?” No. “Do I really need that mail-order receipt for the item that has a 90-day return policy?” Well…maybe.

See? Paper clutter is worse because there’s always the chance that you’ll need to document something and that one piece of paper is “just” one piece of paper. The next thing you know, you’ve got a whole desktop covered in important papers. And when, exactly, is the right time to let them go?
