Thanksgiving Dot Painting

I am always on the lookout for free printables that are themed to use during holiday breaks. We like to do a light amount of school work during the month of November. There are so many things we can be doing that don’t involve sitting at a desk.

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. The weather is cooler and we like to spend more time outside and enjoying each other. When we aren’t outside we are inside crafting, baking and cooking.

It is also a very busy time for me as I am preparing my house for guests. There is lots of cleaning and cooking that needs to be done. Since we are already doing a lighter amount of school I like to look for activities to keep my little ones occupied and engaged. Do-a-dot worksheets are perfect for this.

What are do-a-dot worksheets?

If you don’t know what dot worksheets are, you are in for a treat. I didn’t know what they were until my children were much older. Luckily, I was able to introduce them to my last child  and she used them all through elementary school.

Do-a-dot worksheets are printable activities to help build fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination by filling in the dots on the page.

Many of the educational printables can also give extra practice with letter and number recognition, colors, color words, sight words, seasonal holiday themes and more.

Most dot worksheet require do-a-dot markers. These are called by many names such as: bingo markers or bingo daubers. If you don’t trust your young children with d0-a-d0t markers they can use dot stickers or pom poms to fill in the circles.
