Homemade Herbal Cough Drops

Who remembers eating Luden’s cough drops by the box-full when you were a kid? Yeah, me too. Not sure that they did anything for me other than keep me occupied in big church and foster a generous gap in between each of the pearl buttons on my Gunne Sax dress.

I just looked up the ingredients in my then-favorite flavor, wild cherry. Did you know that they contain corn syrup, FD&C blue no. 2, and FD&C red no. 40? Do yourself a favor and try your hand at these Homemade Herbal Cough Drops. They contain only completely natural ingredients. Not only do these ingredients have actual health benefits, it’s quite possible you have them in your kitchen cabinet right this second!

Please note: For maximum effectiveness, use local, raw honey.
